Three people arrested for running a fake call center in Vashi


Navi Mumbai Police Criminal Branch and Cyber ​​Cell have dismantled a fake call center in Vashi and arrested three people. Police say they are deceiving US citizens under the guise of selling Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, among other drugs, at a discount.

According to the police, call center employees posed as business managers of a well-known pharmaceutical company and took credit and debit card details, including CVV numbers from US citizens on VoIP calls for cheat financially.

Acting on information from sources, Crime Branch and Cyber ​​Cell officials raided Speech Crafts Solutions Pvt Ltd located at Haware Fantasia Business Park in Sector 30 A, Vashi. During the raid, the police discovered that three people were running the centers.

“They had illegally obtained data from US citizens and made VoIP calls from India, posing as Pfizer pharmaceutical company,” said an official from the Navi Mumbai police cyber cell.

The arrested defendants were identified as Harish Sudama Prasad, 32, Praveen Shantaram Patil, 41, and Ashish Shukla, 33. Police also seized a laptop, two hard drives, three phones and a router worth Rs 61,000. A case against them was registered at Vashi police station.
