The breakthrough gel has the potential to be the first over-the-counter drug in the United States for erectile dysfunction

Futura Medical PLC (AIM:FUM, OTC:FAMDF) believes its MED3000 gel is ideally suited to become the first US over-the-counter treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) after successfully negotiating a Phase III clinical trial in the US. United.

It hopes to submit a filing to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) by the end of next month aiming for marketing approval for the product by the first quarter of next year.

This was after MED3000 achieved its primary goal of improving erectile function and its secondary goal of working within 10 minutes of use.

What stands out from the study, which compared Futura’s discovery to a traditional erectile dysfunction drug, is the safety and tolerability profile of MED3000.

Specifically, there were no serious adverse events. In fact, the treatment had a “very favorable side effect profile,” the investors said.

Pills such as Viagra and Cialis can sometimes induce unwanted symptoms such as headaches and dizziness, which means that part of the male population cannot use them, while they can also take 30 60 minutes to operate.

“We are excited to bring a truly differentiated treatment option in the United States for men with erectile dysfunction without the need for a doctor’s prescription,” said Futura CEO James Barder.
