Piers Morgan Asks Meghan Markle To Name The Royal Family Because He ‘Won’t Pay For A Racist’

Piers Morgan acknowledged a cutting jibe from actress Bette Midler saying it was a “good zinger”.

The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain alum has been embroiled in a few wars of words since quitting the ITV breakfast news show, following his remarks about Meghan Markle.

The outspoken TV presenter slammed the Duchess of Sussex after her interview with Oprah Winfrey, alongside Prince Harry.

Piers rejected Meghan’s claims about the Royal Family and her treatment by them, and demanded that she name members of the Royal Family who had shared “concerns” about Archie’s skin color before he was born.

Among those defending Meghan was Hollywood actress Bette Midler, 75, who previously clashed with Piers on social media last year when he spoke out against the Duchess.

After Piers left GMB following a live debate with meteorologist Alex Beresford, Bette couldn’t resist the opportunity for another dig.

Taking to Twitter, she told her two million followers: “#PiersMorgan has been giving it out for years and he left and quit after a minute of criticism by a colleague?

“Even #Viagra can’t help such a sweet man.”

Piers has now responded to Bette’s mockery and for once had to admit he couldn’t make a comeback.

Writing in his Mail on Sunday column, Piers wrote: “There’s a difference between rude abuse or threats and a strongly held derogatory opinion – and sometimes it’s enough to clap for a good zinger, even one at your expense. “

Piers claimed he had received praise from members of the Royal Family, saying Sarah, Duchess of York, who was married to the Queen’s son Prince Andrew, Duke of York, was among those who l have contacted.

He wrote: “Friday April 9. Not all the Royal Duchesses were as thrilled as Meghan ‘Pinocchio’ Markle to see me leave GMB.

“People have said how much they miss your morning joy and humor,” wrote Sarah, Duchess of York, “get back there!”
