Nigerian school shortlisted for $250,000 prize

Best Intellectual Model School, Ohanku, Aba, Abia State is among the top 10 schools shortlisted for the $250,000 World’s Best School Award for Overcoming Adversity.

A statement from T4 Education said the competition was in partnership with Templeton World Charity Foundation, Accenture and American Express, adding that it was created to celebrate schools for the pivotal role they have played in developing the next generation of learners and for their enormous contribution to societal progress, especially in the wake of COVID-19.

Founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Awards, Vikas Pota, said, “We launched the World’s Best School Awards as a grassroots solution to help build the systemic change needed. By telling the stories of inspiring schools that are transforming the lives of their students and making a real difference in their communities, schools can share their best practices and raise their voices at the highest level to help transform education.
